I am obsessed with String Art – and so I bring you string art ideas for alllll the things, including fun Halloween decor! I love how this cute Spiderweb String Art turned out and am excited to give you a quick tutorial on how to make one for yourself! And big welcome to all you who headed over from The Celebration Shoppe!
This could also be a great kids craft for fall parties or a craft club or even a craft station at a Halloween party – wouldn’t that be fun?
Spiderweb String Art
You’ll need:
-wood board, optional if you want a frame around it
-string
-nails with a flat head
-hammer
-printout of a spiderweb that fits your wood board
First up, place your print out of a spiderweb on your wood board. Hammer nails wherever the lines intersect, and at the top of each line:
Work your way around until all the nails are in:
At that point you can pull up your paper template and remove it from your project:
Now for the string part! Tie a knot in the end of your string and secure it around a nail near the center.
Then just start wrapping it to make your spiderweb design – there’s no rules to string art! I wrapped on both sides of the nail for this project, creating an “outline” effect.
When you get to the end, simply tie the string in a knot around one of the nails. Cut off the string tail and you’re good to go!
Add a spider ring for extra fun!
Can’t wait to see yours!! Have fun making it! This is a blog hop, so head over to Dukes and Duchesses and see the next awesome Halloween craft or party idea!

Haven’t seen a string art for a while. Forget about them actually. That spiderweb looks neat though.
