Sharing is caring!
Easter is only a couple weeks away, can you believe it?! I have a super awesome Easter Week Activity Advent that I want to show off to you. So thanks so much for stopping by my blog to learn, along with my family and I, a little more about the meaning of Easter. I want my kiddos to get a deeper understanding of the holiday, and so I am SO excited to try out the new Easter Week Activity Advent that I’ve worked really hard to put together. Of course I went ahead and packaged it all up for you as well, share the love!
Easter Week Activity Advent
It is an advent (because my kiddos LOVE advents and opening something each day in anticipation) of activities to do the week leading up to Easter.
You’ll need:
–activity word strips (one for each day leading up to Easter – they’re included in the printable pack!)
–plastic eggs
–number stickers or a sharpie
Everything you’ll need in way of cute printables and outlined activities has already been prepared – it doesn’t get much easier than that.
Easter Week Activity Advent ASSEMBLY
Your biggest preparation will be putting together the eggs. I used sticker numbers, but a sharpie marker will work just as well. You will need 8 eggs, numbered 1-8. You will open them in reverse order, starting with egg #8. We simply used a stick from our yard and tied the eggs to it with twine. Most plastic eggs have holes in the top – I used a large needle to get the twine threaded through those holes.
Cut apart the activity strips. Each one is numbered – fold it up and put it in the corresponding numbered egg.
Activities range from journaling as a family to watching an online video to baking treats and delivering them to a neighbor. It is focused on learning more about Jesus and His teachings and the events that led up to Easter Sunday. You can find all the materials in the FREE printables EASTER WEEK ACTIVITIES ADVENT found HERE. Simply print out the advent, cut the strips apart, fold them up and put them in the coordinating numbered eggs. There are also cute quote printables, journaling pages, and more.
PS, for the treat activity, you can find detailed instructions as a printable, and then photo step-by-steps HERE: Resurrection Rolls
Easter Week Activity Advent DAILY USE
Then each day counting down until Easter, you’ll open the number on the egg that corresponds to how many days are left, and be able to do the activity that’s inside. Fun!!
I hope you look forward to this coming Easter Week as much as my family and I are – I can’t wait!! I know that we will be able to more fully understand Easter and gain a deeper love for it and Christ as we do. As we go through our activities, I will be sharing our successes (and maybe not-so-successes) on my social media channels and using the hashtag #Hallelujah where you can follow along with others as well.
What a cute idea! It’s too bad my kids are too old for something like this.

I love this so much! I saw it in the LDS Influencer Easter pack and it was my favorite thing! We are definitely doing it with our kids!

These are fun ideas and a great way to prepare for Easter. But there is no such thing as Easter Advent. It is called Lent and is the 40 days before Easter.
This is a great idea! We are using this as an activity for our Activity Day girls. Unfortunately on the printable “Easter Week Activity Advent” #2 Saturday Resurrection Rolls is misspelled.
oh no! thanks for letting me know about the typo!!
Hi Mandy,
I hope you’re well. I’m a freelance journalist currently writing an article for the Good Housekeeping UK website. I came across your Easter advent on Pinterest and wondered if I could please have permission to use a photo (with full credit given) for the article please?
I’m hoping to get this over to my editor so would you please be able to let me know asap please?
Thanks so much and I look forward to hearing from you soon,
Aneira
use of one photo with a link back is great, thanks for checking!
When I try to pull any of the videos up, it says they’re not available. Are they still working for you? I want to make sure I’m not just typing it in wrong. I love this idea. Thanks for sharing!
oh no!! I wonder if the url has changed from last year to this year – I’ll look into it!
