Isn’t it funny that I called this Halloween Mantel Decor when I don’t even have a mantel?! But that’s the idea behind it, right?! Having fun decorating around your fireplace for Halloween.
Halloween Mantel Decor Tips
Let’s just dive right in with some tips and tricks for you as you pull your decor together!
Halloween Focal Point
You’ll need a focal point for your decor – here I have that awesome two-headed skeleton that really steals the show!
Halloween Backdrop
Normally I have family pictures on this wall. I took those down but left all the nails in the wall, which was super convenient when it came to spreading out spiderweb. Speaking of, spreading out spiderweb is HARD! but do your best and realize that it doesn’t have to be perfect because you’re going to have layers in your backdrop.
I layered with paper fans and paper fan spiders. I thought it was looking a little too spooky, so I ended up adding some fall flowers (from my flower Christmas tree – pays to hoard craft supplies!) and I love how it brightened things up a little. I attached them using ticky tack.
Extra Halloween Pops
Then you can add in a few more pops of Halloween – we have a motion-sensor spider and then some farm-fresh gourds and pumpkins. Also some Halloween Goodies to giveaway such as bendy spiders and bubbles.
