Teen Group Costume Idea

You know how I LOVE family costumes – well sometimes your kiddos want to dress up with their friends 😉   Last year we pulled together a couple of last-minute things that turned out awesome for a Teen Group Costume Idea.  I love how they’re cute and simple and appropriate for teens and tweens, it makes it fun for everyone!

You know me – I love EASY costumes!  And these both fit the bill!

Teen Friend Group Costume Idea

The hardest part is probably deciding on the costume!  After that, these pull together in no time!  I can walk you through each idea below.  This post may contain affiliate links.

Candy M&Ms group costume idea for teens and tweens

Aren’t they the cutest?!  They each decided on a color, but I’m sure you could have repeat colors in your group and that would be totally fine too!!

You’ll need:

—solid color tees (fast and cheap here), and black leggings (they all had on hand)

—elastic, I think mine was 1 inch

–1-2 rolls of tulle per tutu, depending how fluffy you want it

How to make an M&M tee

I used white heat transfer vinyl (I prefer this brand), cut out “m” (this is a simple enough shape that you can even HAND CUT the vinyl if you don’t have a cutting machine!), then ironed it on to the tees.

We had all the girls over for a pre-Halloween get together to make their tutus.  I think they had a fun time!  These are easy to make, it’s just looping knots over the elastic.  We used the same technique that I used to make the tutu bee costume, HERE: No Sew Tutu Tutorial

Fruit Basket group costume idea for teens and tweens

Aren’t these girls the cutest as well?!  I love fruit costumes!! (have you seen our Pineapple Costume – it’s a favorite!)

You’ll need:

—solid tee

–large piece of felt in white, and black if you’re making a kiwi

–fabric glue or hot glue

–black leggings they had on hand

How to make a no-sew fruit costume

We had previously made the Lemon and Lime costumes, you can find that tutorial HERE.  We used that same concept to make the orange slice.  The kiwi was the same idea as well, but the center was kept solid and then we added the seeds in black felt.  We pulled these together like an hour before the fall festival party!  That tells you how fast and easy this costume idea is!
