I wasn’t even going to post about the dessert I was trying… but then it came out awesome, and I was amazed and couldn’t not share 😉 Next thing I know I was reaching for the camera and snapping pics for ya – – Baked Apple Roses:
You know those videos that come through your facebook feed that become mesmerizing and you can’t stop watching?? for me it’s the cookie decorating ones, etc, so fascinating! So I saw one where they made Apple Roses – go watch it where I shared it on my Sugar Bee Crafts Facebook Page, you don’t want to miss it – and it actually looked doable! Enough that I showed it to my kiddos and said let’s make that!
So you’ll see in the video, and get the recipe, but basically you use a strip of pastry, line up apple slices on it, then roll it up – see, easy! And it looks like you spent hours on them…
A few tips:
–I forgot to spray my muffin tin – don’t do that 😉 If I sprayed it, they would have been much easier to get out, and looked prettier on the edges
–They used apricot jam. I used blueberry because we had it on hand – and it was delicious!
–I forgot the cinnamon inside, so I just topped the roses with our cinnamon sugar mix we use on toast.
–I whipped up a quick frosting drizzle and dripped it across the top – mmmmm!
Place on a super cute plate (like this Square White Plate – I love it!)
So anyways, if I can make these, you can! Give it a try!
