I am LOVING this super cute Glitter Felt Hairbows – Rainbow Set. I think I am weak for anything that comes in multiple color options, and the touch of glitter pushes these over into awesomeness. This set will be perfect for a gift for my niece (if my girls don’t steal it first…)
Felt HairbowsUPDATE:
I made it using my die cut Evolution machine from Lifestyle Crafts – it made the cutting easier.
It uses metal die cuts that you place on a platform then just hand-crank through the machine – super simple. Here’s the pack where I got the bow die-cut:
Here’s an example of what it looks like after it cuts through the paper – the cut pieces are still laying on top of the dies. It cuts paper like a dream. I pushed it to the limit with felt, and it didn’t quite cut it all the way through, but it did mark it prominently so i could just whiz around it with scissors.
The die cuts the pieces but you still need to assemble the bow – – here’s a quick visual on that. Fold each side of the bow ends to the middle (I use hot glue to attach them), then attach that piece to the bow tail piece. Then wrap the middle and attach it in the back.
If you want to make these into hairbows, just hot glue an alligator clip to the back:
You could stop there – or you could go all-out with the sparkle! To add glitter, I gave the bows a light dusting of spray glue adhesive, then immediately sprinkled fine glitter all over.
Then I glued some cute paper to some chipboard (or you can use a cereal box) and cut slits so that the clips could slide through:
It’s all about the presentation – ROY.G.BIV!
Love the dimension on these – – so simple, but so cute:
Perfect for little girls, but not limited to them. I might be delusional, but I think with a messy bun, even adults can rock the glitter bow! yes? no?
HEADS UP – – don’t have a die cut?? if you want instructions on how to make rainbow felt bows by hand (without the die cut) and some super-cute packaging, be sure to check out My Sister’s Suitcase!
I absolutely love how these turned out!!

Love it!
I absolutely love these! What a cute gift these would make! Now I have to go order a set of these dies right away. Love love love… pinning!!
I love that you added glitter to them! Super cute! Have you tried putting a thin piece of cardboard on just before the cutting mat? It really helped me cut through the felt with my Evolution.
These are just soooo Cute!!!
I would love it if you would share these on my weekly link party – Serenity Saturday at https://www.serenityyou.com/2014/01/serenity-saturday-117.html
