Cuteness alert!! I know you’re here because you couldn’t NOT find out more about this cute Crochet Amigurumi Bunny – it’s the cutest ever! In case you’re wondering what in the world Amigurumi is, Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small, usually cute stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures. They’re cute little crocheted animals with those oversized heads – so fun to try out!
If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ll know that I’m a pretty basic crocheter – I’m trying to stretch myself lately and actually use and read patterns. And when I do it, and it turns out as cute as this, I get SO excited!!
My favorite part about this crochet bunny is the pom pom tail – I wish you could see it in person! It’s hard to get a pic that captures the cuteness of the ears AND the tail, but just know it’s awesome. The pom pom part wasn’t in the pattern, I just decided to try it instead of a crocheted tail, and I love it.
When I first started, I thought the bunny was just going to be a few inches tall – I pictured i t pretty tiny. It’s actually about 10 inches from the ear tips to the toes when it’s stretched out. When I was crocheting the head and it kept getting bigger and bigger, it was a clue that it wasn’t a teeny tiny bunny.
I used fabric from JoAnn’s and then glued on some little resin flowers for added interest and cuteness. I wouldn’t do that if it were for little kiddos, but mine won’t be, so I felt okay about adding the flowers.
Anyways, I just wanted to show off how proud I am that I actually crocheted a bunny, following a pattern and everything! You can find the crochet pattern called Spring Bunnies over on the blog All About Ami – she does an amazing job walking you through everything!! Here’s what hers turned out like – so adorable!!
