I think you already know this, but I love heat transfer material. Hands down, it’s my favorite thing to cut with a cutting machine. And you can even use scissors to cut it (I love doing that with handprints).
If you haven’t ever tried it before, what are you waiting for?! It’s great! A few tips on using it:
–design your image. then MIRROR it!! it’s made to cut from the back instead of the front, so your design needs to be flipped.
–put it onto your cutting mat with the shiny side down – again, it cuts from the back.
–peel off the excess – whatever you want to iron on will stay on the clear shiny sheet.
–place onto what you’re making (shirt, hat, bag, pillow – it’s endless!) and iron until the vinyl really welds itself into the fibers of your project. I use a scrap piece of fabric between the iron and the clear sheet. That’s it!!
