If you haven’t tried fabric spray paint, you’re missing out – you can have so much fun with it! On this project, I used it and a stencil to add a little pizzaz to some leggings.
It’s a great simple craft project to kick off summer! Here are some images you can pin to save this idea and tutorial for later. This post may contain affiliate links.
How to Stencil on Leggings
You’ll need:
–White or Light Colored Leggings
First up, tape your stencil to the leggings. Be sure to cover any areas that you don’t want paint on (overspray is real!)
Start from the bottom and work your way up, spraying a line of color across the stencil as shown. Alternate colors. No need to tape off between colors – it looks great when they overlap.
Let dry for 30 minutes (per package instructions) and then remove stencil. If adding stencil to the side of the pantleg, be sure to add to the back as well. Open up the paint leg and match up the stencil along the seam.
Then voila!! wear and enjoy your custom design!
