I used maps behind a collection of my Dad’s cherished model car collection when it was willed to my son on my Dad’s passing. It really ties together the idea of driving and maps!
Great idea! My father had a car collection as well. Great memory.
These are super cute! I’m not really a “map” kind of person in my style normally, but I do like a few of these ideas! Especially the gift bags! Where would you recommend going to get maps to recycle for a reasonable price?

I definitely wouldn’t have ever thought to do at least 90% of these things! Thanks for such a fun roundup!

After seeing map ideas you featured now need to go back over them all to see which ones can’t do without. So many good ideas to try, something to keep me even busier. Love them all actually but need to narrow down to about three for now. Have some embroidery projects want to do in addition.
Sure glad you shared all these map ideas, thanks so much.
Hope can find my maps. Use pages out of hubs trucker atlases, copy pages to use for maps. Buying maps is expensive now-days. Whatever happened to gas stations giving maps?
This is 3rd. project of yours have gotten into, just keep clicking one after another, love your very interesting blog.
Have wonderful weekend.
Thanks for some great ideas! I have a drawer full of old maps (60’s and 70’s) and a few as old as 40’s. I think the oldest would be great either on a dresser or behind shelving like you did here. That way I’d use large pieces of the maps. I love the advertising on these old ones too. These were all my own or my fathers but I have seen them for sale at yard sales for pennies too.
I used maps to mod podge gift boxes to use for decorative storage of pictures or other items,, mod podeged a wooded crate and then sanded the edges, and mod podged a picture frame. It also looks fabulous on furniture.
