Today I’m sharing my Bottle Cap Advent Calendar, perfect for young girls who love making and wearing jewelry.
Supplies
Flatten bottle caps (buy or make, but they will need a small hole up the top)
Glitter
Modpodge
A Frame (I used an 8 by 10)
Small Cup Hooks
Jewelry Findings (split rings, blank charm bracelets necklaces, key tags, All found very cheap on Ebay)
Assorted Scrapbook Paper
1 inch circle punch
Epoxy Dots
Flat Backed Christmas Ornaments
Vinyl numbers or scrapbook stickers
First mix equal parts of glitter and modpodge, I recommend starting with a small amount as a little goes a long way, and paint the bottle caps.
While they’re drying mark out the placement of the bottle caps on your frame back and screw the hooks in to make the holes. Once you have made all of the holes paint the frame back with the glitter and modpodge mix, once dry add another coat of modpodge to seal and dry.
Punch 25 1 inch circles from your scrap book paper and modpodge to the other side of the bottle cap. I choose not to go with a Christmas theme so my daughter can wear her jewelry after the Christmas holidays.
Then add the epoxy dots. These magnify the pictures and really make them pop.
I think a cute little jewelry box for Christmas would complete this.
Well I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I’d love to see you take a trip to the land Down Under, where women glow and men thunder (if you leave a comment telling me what this song is, you’ll find yourself with a new mate!) On my blog you will find things like my Sesame Street Nursery which I made for just over $100 or my Ruffle Scarf, which would make a lovely gift.
