So I went into this as a complete newbie, never having been exposed to the brand or product. So if you’ve never heard of The Honest Company, this post is for you.
My first thoughts were the awesome packaging. My second thoughts were that it really seemed eco-friendly because the detergent was clear – no excess dyes, just clear and pure.
You can see right through the lid (and bottle) – I tried to show my fingers underneath the cap so you can get a feel for how clear it is:
And that’s all well and good, but the real question is can it clean as well as regular detergent. I put it to the ultimate test – my baby niece was over and she was kind enough to have a diaper blow-out all up the back, etc, so I could have something to experiment with. We all know baby blow-outs are awful to get out completely, but look at this – completely clean. I was impressed:
I also tried out the Laundry pods – talk about convenient! I have used dishwasher tabs but never laundry ones – they were so easy, I’m hooked. Again, non-toxic.
I agree with this statement: Their products are not only designed to be safe and sustainable, but beautiful, fresh, and fun. I felt that the products were safe and fresh and they made me feel good about using them. I also enjoyed that they were delivered to my door – it doesn’t get easier than that!
