What a great link-up yesterday! While you were doing my blogging for me, I was mopping my floor. I did all the prep work and realized I was out of floor cleaner – hmmm. Thinking like a crafter I quickly hopped on the computer and looked up homemade floor cleaner. There were lots of recipes – mine was: 1 gallon water, 1 cup vinegar, and some baby shampoo – I had all those on hand. It worked all right – I don’t really like the floor cleaners that I’ve tried from the store, so I didn’t like this one just as much as those – they all seem about the same. If anyone has a wonderful concoction for floor cleaner let me know! I am a bit on the kooky/thrifty side – I’ve been making my own laundry soap for a couple of years and use homemade dryer balls – see my post HERE for the how-to on those.
So let’s show off a few things from you:
A how-to on monograming towels from SuperMom – you know I love initials on everything!
I am sooo weak for cute little summer outfits from StraightStitches:
You should see the “before” of this lamp – what a transformation from Shannon:
I’m in awe of all the possibilies of these dressed up cakes from Texas Monkey – my husband is drooling over this one:

I too have yet to find a floor cleaner I love, I stick with swiffer mop and cleaner until I find something more thrifty that does as good.
Thank you for featuring my cake post. Hope you have fun making one. Feel free to send me pics if you make one to showcase you.

Awesome, Mandy! Congrats!
And for mopping. I just use my Swiffer wetjet. I like it the best so far, but I would love to try a Shark Steam mop. I hear they’re great!
