Neighbor Gift Idea

It’s going to be gift-giving time before you know it, so I’m getting those ideas out there NOW for you. Our go-to neighbor or family friend gift idea, besides a plate of cookies, is a Hot Chocolate Care Package. Here’s how that Neighbor Gift Idea comes together!

Hot Chocolate Care Package

You’ll need:

–hot chocolate packets (THESE packets are the best!)

—disposable coffee cups with sleeves – they are perfect for hot chocolate on the go!

–mix-ins like marshmallows and dark chocolate and peppermints

–cute box and even a cute Hot Cocoa Chalkboard Sign (that is a DIY! tutorial coming tomorrow!!)

Vinyl on Disposable Coffee Cups

Every gift needs a little personal touch, right?! I added some cute vinyl to the sleeves on the disposable coffee cups and it turned out just perfect!

You’ll need:

–vinyl (THIS is I use for my vinyl projects)

–transfer tape (THIS KIND is my FAVORITE by far)

–warm and cozy cut file – FREE! See info on grabbing the FREE cut file below.

First up you’ll cut your image – I love my Silhouette machine, but any cutting machine is great. Then you “weed” your design, which means to pull out all the pieces you don’t want, which is the background and the center of letters, etc.

Then place transfer tape over the top of your design. This is how you are going to move your design to your project.

Once your design is on your transfer tape, you can peel the back off of the design:

The back is sticky, or adhesive. That’s why it’s called Adhesive Vinyl 😉 Now you can place it where you want it on your project. For us, we’re putting on the sleeves of the coffee cups.
