Mother’s Day with World Market Fashion

I think I’ve told you before how my mom is awesome – – my mom with yours truly:

Since my mom is super awesome, she deserves awesome things – enter World Market:

My mom is the mom everyone wants – Girl Scout Leader, Room mom, helping with all the activities. Super fun – – on Easter she (in front) and my aunts came running out for the egg hunt.  So Kate and I had to do the same:

All growing up, we would do things with my cousin’s family.  Daily activities in the summer.  Kate and I would refer to them as “the moms” – – my mom and her sister.   So now, as life goes on, Kate and I get our kids together and we realized that we’re “the moms” – weird!

My mom is one awesome grandma – – we moved here to be closer to family about 5 years ago and it’s been great.  My kiddos spend the night at my parents’ house about once a month.  We eat Sunday dinner each week with them.  My mom is up for babysitting when we need someone.  She occasionally drops by to see if we need things at the store.  Every summer her and my aunt run “Grandma’s Day Camp” where they take the kids all day for a week and do various “camp” activities like paper mache and bike rodeos and cooking and obstacle courses.  Being an awesome grandma is another way that my mom is an awesome mom.  “Field Trip” from Grandma Day Camp, visiting a local goat farm:

I knew a fun place to find perfect gifts for her for mother’s day would be World Market – seriously, isn’t that the perfect place?!  My mom is big into accessories, so I knew that the scarves and jewelry would be a hit.  The selection is large and I love that everything is just a little more unique than you’d find in other stores.  Tons of goodies!

And this is totally unrelated to accessories, but I had to take a picture of the cute pop-up cards right by the check-out.  I’m weak for a pop-up card!

 Did you see the owl ring?  I had to get it for her because in grade school she had a homemade costume, a paper bag that was supposed to be an owl, and apparently she can’t live it down:
