Hand Heart Warmers! They are super soft and small enough to fit in your pocket. Before you go out in the cold or after you have been out in the cold you just put these in the microwave for about 10 seconds to warm them up and then hold them in your hands to warm them up.
Hello Everyone! I am Marti from SewLicious Home Decor and I am so happy to be here today to share with you my Hand Heart Warmers! If your headed out the door just zap them for 10 seconds then put them in your pocket. They are filled with whole kernel corn so that they stay warmer longer than if they were filled with rice. You can find whole kernel corn at a local feed store. You will need to cut out a total of 4 hearts to make one set. You can download the heart pattern here. Supplies you will need: Flannel fabric Whole Kernel Corn Decorative scissors Sewing Machine, matching thread, etc.
Using the heart shape pattern cut out 4 heart shape for each set you want to make. In this photo I made 3 sets so I cut out 4 hearts for each set.
After you have cut out your hearts you will head to the sewing machine and sew 2 hearts together leaving an opening so that you can fill with corn.
Roll up a piece of paper to make a funnel to pour in the corn. I filled them pretty full. After they are full go back to the sewing machine and sew up the opening. Then you’re done!
Thank you so much Mandy for letting me share my Heart Shaped Hand Warmers! I hope everyone has a great holiday season!

These are the cutest! I’ve had handwarmers on my “to craft” list for a long time – I love that you used fleece. Also, I had no idea about the corn vs. rice heat retention. Thanks for the great tip!
