Are you a crochet newbie?? Crochet projects have been pretty popular here on the blog, so I thought I’d pull out a simple one that even beginners can tackle. In the fall I made a Gray Crocheted Cowl and I am getting so much use out of it – it goes with anything, and I love the texture it adds to any outfit.
I guess I never blogged about it? But now that I spend tons of time building a house and all, I’m digging back through any and all past projects to see what I can share to keep you all crafting on as normal 😉 Anyways, I made this when I was on a blogger trip of a #FarmFoodTour of Kansas – there were several bloggers on on a bus, and we couldn’t not craft! So we made an emergency stop at Walmart for yarn and crochet hooks and Cindy of Skip to My Lou taught the bus full how to crochet using this simple project. See, here it is right from my seat on the bus:
She had the pattern from those free pattern sheets you can grab on the endcaps at Michaels – there was only one sheet, so us in the back of the of the bus snapped a picture of the instructions so we could follow along:
I know that’s hard to read, so luckily I tracked down the free pattern for you – you can find it HERE on the Michael’s site. Just click “view more” under project instructions and it’ll list everything for you. Theirs is a little taller (see pic below) so I just didn’t make mine as tall. Both ways are cute!
Enjoy crocheting!!
