So you’re searching for Graduation Party Ideas?? You’ve come to the right place! If you’ve got a grad this year, you’re probably already compiling ideas for a Graduation Party Tablescape and I’ve got a bunch to add to your list! As part of the Michael’s Makers team, I got to put together some fun party ideas.
It’s never too early to get started on your next party or celebration – Michaels.com has more project ideas and instructions for you and your kids to make this year – check out projects forMother’s Day , Father’s Day, graduation, birthday and even summer. Let’s celebrate!
I think my favorite thing about the set up is the “2015” – it has such an impact with it’s size, but it was fun and thrifty to DIY. I am going to dedicate a whole post to the Tissue Paper Numbers , so head over there to check it out!
For the cake, I grabbed some fun metal letters that I found on an endcap and spray painted them to match the color scheme. I’m not super awesome at cake decorating, but a topper really makes the cake. I also drizzled candy melt over the icing for the messy fun look.
I used candy to amplify the color scheme and add a little more color to the cake plate and tabletop.
For the cupcakes I make toppers using the Simple Candy Melt Topper technique (follow that link for more tips on cupcake toppers). I traced the “2015” and then I made sure to add a line at the bottom so that the numbers would stay connected when I added them to the tops of the cupcakes.
I thought they turned out really fun! I found assorted jars and chalkboards that coordinated with the theme I was going for – it’s the small details that really make a tablescape feel complete.
And of course, every party needs fun straws!!
