Are you in need of a cute and simple centerpiece this fall?! I made this Cute Owl Centerpiece Display last year and just love it – it got tons of compliments. You can use it on a table or even a shelf in an entryway, etc. And you probably have supplies on hand – cupcake liners, cardboard rolls (aka, empty toilet paper rolls), sticks, paper, and glue.
And it’s simple enough that you can even involve the kiddos – – it comes out so cute!
Last year I had a tutorial up for the gold-rimmed chalkboard pot – so head over there to check that out.
This project was inspired by the Owl Paper Craft from FamilyFun, so you can head over there for the tutorial – I tweaked it a little, but it’ll give you the general idea on owl construction.
And then I dipped some of the stick ends in glue and covered them in gold glitter, to tie in the pot and bring together the whole project.
Supplies needed:
Cupcake Liners, Empty cardboard toilet paper tubes, Scraps of white/glitter, black, and orange construction paper, Tree branch, Hard foam ball/disc, Hot Glue.
Constructing the owls is a fun process and everyone will enjoy seeing them come together. Have fun and make several varieties of owls! I especially loved using football liners for the brown owl because the liners had a fun texture pattern printed on them.
To display the owls, put a hard foam ball or disc inside a pot. Push a tree branch into the foam. Cover with leaves. Place the owls carefully on the twigs of the branch. If they’re wobbly, you can use tape or hot glue dots to secure them. Set on your table and enjoy!
