They had a great time doing many activities – here’s a snippet of their questionnaire from last year, after a full day of being at the company:
I love that they got to look at careers! Can’t wait to see what they do this year! Meanwhile, we’ve been all about exploring careers (thanks to Hasbro for sponsoring this post) because we’ve been having fun with our latest new game, The Game of Life game.
Hasbro has launched THE GAME OF LIFE My Dream Job with new career cards inspired by kids – I love that kids helped with the career choices! My kids have loved looking through all the possibilities. The game is fun and social, but it’s also a great way for us to pave the way for conversations about what my kids what to be when they grow up and about their goals to get there.
The new careers are: Singer, Secret Agent, Veterinarian, Teacher, Doctor, Professional Athlete, Scientist, Fashion Designer, Lawyer, Inventor, Chef, Race Car Driver, Dancer, Police Officer, Firefighter and the top pick, Video Game Designer (the top job, as voted on by kids!). You can find out more information about THE GAME OF LIFE at www.HasbroGames.com and follow Hasbro Gaming on Facebook and @HasbroNews on Twitter

Games are great way to bring families together and the new career cards in THE GAME OF LIFE can help inspire those parent-kid conversations about what they want to be when they grow-up in a playful, casual way. Another great opportunity to start the conversation is “Take Your Sons and Daughters to work day on April 23” and introduce them to what you do at work. These light-hearted conversations can lead to job-shadowing opportunities, involvement in clubs or organizations that cater to their interests like a cooking class or baseball lessons, and eventually the pursuit of a higher-education degree in the topic somewhere down the road.
