This is a sponsored post but all opinions are my own.
Have you ever heard of Graphic Skinz? It’s a cool way to customize and create – you add a “skin” to your project to make it fun and custom and perfect for you!
I am super weak for crafting kits – I love that it’s all inclusive and you don’t have to run around gathering tons of supplies for projects, etc. Since I love kits myself, I also love giving kits as gifts – this would make a fun gift for a kiddo this fall. I do think they’ll need a little help with it, but it’s a fun way to do a project together. You know, those tweens can be tricky to by for, but this is a fun idea. You’ll be able to find it in the craft aisle of Target, Walmart and ToysRUs.
We tackled the glasses and pendant, but I’m sure there are lots of other projects in our future.
All we needed was the Graphic Skinz kit and then the design pack for the glasses and pendant.
Basically the kids come with parts to the projects and skins – –
You cut the skinz to fit the piece you’re wrapping, then take off the clear outer sheet and wrap the skin around the piece – I felt like this part was a little tricky – there’s still a backing paper that’s left on, so you have to get it to bend around. Then you wrap it all in a wet sponge and put it in the vacuum tube, where it holds everything tight.
Then you peel off the paper backing and smooth out the skin. We weren’t great at getting it smooth, but it was still a lot of fun to make.
It reminded me of applying temporary tattoos, but with a way to wrap them around objects and make things customized that way. I think it’d be super fun to do some light switches and phone cases, etc.
The glasses were tricky to wrap all the sections, but they’re a huge hit!
You can find out tons more info on their site, GraphicSkinz.com, including helpful videos on applying the skinz – –
She loves her creations – it’s so fun to see her excited to wear the things she made – –
