What I know about visiting my Grandma is that you can count on being served Chocolate Delight. Yum. Great joy years ago when I found out how easy it is to make – here’s her recipe:
You’ll need:
1st Layer
1 stick butter
1 C flour
1 C pecans
2nd Layer
1 8oz cream cheese
1 ½ C cool whip
1 C powdered sugar
3rd Layer
2 sm pkg instant chocolate pudding
3 C cold milk
4th Layer
Cool whip
Chocalote Delight Directions
Melt butter and add flour and pecans. Press into 9×13 pan. Bake 350 for 25 min and cool.
Combine all 2nd layer ingredients and spread onto 1st layer.
Mix pudding with milk and beat until thick. Spread on 2nd layer.
Top with cool whip. Refrigerate.
So mix up the first layer and press it into the pan. Press and press. Every time I make it I think it’s not going to cover the bottom of my 9×13. And everytime I eventually get it to work. It should look like this:

My mom makes this same dessert! It can be very addicting!! It’s one of my favorites but at times I think it’s safe to have a piece or two because hey it’s pudding right! LOL –

We make this recipe as well but always use walnuts in the crust. I just may have to try the pecans…we also make another version, Lemon Delight. Exactly the same but we use tangy lemon pudding instead of chocolate. It’s a great summer recipe, too.
