Hello everyone, I’m Victoria from ABC Creative Learning! So excited to be a guest today at Sugar Bee Crafts, sharing with you all my Burlap Christmas Wreath Tutorial. I promise that it’s easier and cheaper than you think to make. Plus, you can really use it year round by swapping decorations according to the seasons and holidays.
Materials Needed:
- Burlap – 1 1/2 yards
- Foam Wreath
- Scissors
- Measuring Tape
- Flat Head Pins
- Christmas Decorations or Wooden Letters
- Ribbon or Tulle
Once you have all of your pieces cut out, you will end up with a stack of 4×4 inch burlap squares just like this. Beautiful isn’t it?
Step 2: Fold your 4×4 burlap pieces and attach with your pins. Take one piece of square burlap, fold your top corner to your bottom corner. This will create an upside down triangle. Next, fold the left corner down to the bottom corner and do the same with the right side. Your folded burlap should now have a small little opening, just like picture #3 above. Step 3: Using your flat head pins attach your burlap piece on your foam wreath. Because I was using two different colors, I did three light beige and then 3 dark beige pieces of burlap. Don’t worry on where to begin, just start adding your pieces to your wreath and you will see that it will start taking form. Try to keep the same form all the way through, so that it doesn’t look fuller in some places.
