Have you ever wondered about how to turn an old worn paperback into a pumpkin centerpiece worthy of the bestseller list! Just a few simple steps and you can create this Book Page Pumpkin.
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Dollar Tree. The opinions and text are all mine. This fun project is part of Dollar Tree‘s Value Seekers Club – I love that club! It is full of fun and simple crafts and decor for a frugal budget (you can see why I love it!). All Dollar Tree items are… you knew it… only $1 each! The free club also hosts members-only contests, give exclusive product sneak peeks, and offers first-to-by opportunities.
Book Page Pumpkin
Here’s What You’ll Need:
• Paperback Book (preferably well read)
• Craft Knife• Stick (choose one that’s relatively straight and has a circumference similar to
the width of your book spine)
• Orange Paint
• Glue
• Green or Tan Ribbon or Raffia
I’m not going to give away all the step-by-step instructions on this project – you’ll need to head over to Dollar Tree’s Value Seekers Club to check out the full how-to.
At first I thought I could just look at the picture and attempt the project, but you’ll want to for sure check out the directions. When I did, I gained helpful insights and tips to make it a success and not a project fail (let to my own devices).
I just love how it turned out!! And you can think outside the box – they’d be cute as centerpieces at a Fall wedding reception as is, or even with gold paint on the edges instead of orange – I think that would look so cool.
If you think it’s too late for fall decor, you can even try making a tree shape for Christmas – If you do that, send me a picture so I can get a visual on the cuteness.
And it all started from a book that was in the donation pile…
The edge bleeding of paint might be my favorite part – so cool! Enjoy your new Book Page Pumpkin!
