Do you need to bring something to a meal this holiday season? – – Don’t forget about the Jello option – I’m serious!
I used to never even consider making and taking Jello somewhere, but then I had this Best Jello Ever and I’m hooked.
Strawberry Jello
2 small packages strawberry jello
2 cups boiling water
1 large tub frozen strawberries, thawed
–dump that all together, then stir in:
1 can crushed pineapple
–pour into 9×13 pan and let set several hours
Give Jello a chance!!
(sorry I never took a picture of the finished deliciousness – blogger fail!)

We do a version similar to this and top it with a concoction made from 1/2 bag of mini marshmallows and 1 tub of sour cream melted together and spread on top of the jello. mmm…

Yummm, this is one of my favorites, my grandma makes it for me – some years I don’t even want birthday cake, just this Jello salad. She partially sets the Jello in the fridge before she stirs in the fruit and also includes some sliced bananas in the mix, then pours half the Jello into the 13×9 dish, refrigerates it to set, then beats softened cream cheese, sour cream and sugar, spreads that over the set Jello layer and tops with the remaining Jello. It’s the best thing EVER!! I agree, people really should give Jello a chance!! 🙂
