It’s about that time – the 100th day of school. My kindergartner had a home project assignment to made a 100 day Project – it had to be 100 of something to make something – Legos, cheerios, etc. When I saw the rolled felt heart at Embellishig Life I thought – that’s the project!
I cut the strips and she rolled them. Not all in one sitting. She pinned them and I’d hot glue them when she had several in the “done” pile. Even my preschooler had to get in on the fun.
I pictured the red and pink mixing all together, but she liked the pink boarder so we went with that, since it’s her project and all. She’d pick up each roll, I’d add hot glue, and then she’d smash it down on the lace-covered cardboard. I think the heart shape got a little off in the process, but she loved making it – and it gave us some Valentine decor for a few days…
That is so sweet! If I posted our one hundred day project – well, lets just say it was leaves, Lego men, a hill of cotton to climb (all in groups of 10 of course)! Boys and girls sure approach things from opposite directions – but I love that heart and think the time spent together makes it even better!
Oh My this is so great.. What a wonderful project!!
Was this 100 snowdays?
I think it’s adorable and I am going to go and suggest it on my fb page right now. We are on day 3 of being iced in and there are a bunch of bored moms out there!
I love this idea! Your heart turned out beautiful!
Very cute! I couldn’t imagine rolling 100 of those though. Goodness! But I bet she had one of the cutest projects! Thanks for linking up!
