This is the top-out of drink treats for kids. It’s a slushie. It has candy. It has COTTON CANDY. It has it all!! Such a fun treat for a movie night or last day of school celebration. Your kiddos are going to love this Cotton Candy Slush.
It’s super fun and super easy to put together (my kind of treat!)
So let’s dive right in!
Cotton Candy Slush
The extra-fun part of this treat is that not only did we make the drink, but we also made the Cotton Candy – yep! Cotton Candy at home – pretty cool! If you follow me on SnapChat, you saw us trying it out. I think I’ve gotten better at it each time I use it!
The Carnival Cotton Candy Machine and FlosSugar are both from WayFair, and they’re super reasonably priced. It’s a fun thing to make with the kids, something out of the ordinary. And it comes out just like you would expect cotton candy to come out.
For the slush, you can use your favorite slush recipe. I used a quick mix of 2 strawberries, a can of lemon-lime pop, and a couple handfuls of ice. Blend until, well, slushie. And the kids are obsessed with candy in their slushies (thank you sonic), so I stirred in some nerds into each cup.
Speaking of each cup, for the extra fun factor, I went with candy-rimmed glasses. I did a quick video tutorial on how to do it over on my Sugar Bee Crafts facebook page – basically I dipped the rims in candy melt and then while it was still goey, I drizzled nerds all over it. Which made quite the mess…
But anyways, back to the drink – – so now that you have your candy-rimmed glasses, your slush, and your cotton candy, you put it all together. Pour the slush into the cups, stir in candy if desired. Then right before you’re ready to serve them, add a tuff of cotton candy to the top. You don’t want to add it to early, because it will start to melt into the drink. Which is what you’re going for – when it’s time to drink the slush, stir in the cotton candy to add that flavor to your slush. And ENJOY!!
That’s all there is to it – – such a fun drink treat, right?! And completely doable to make it at home. Cotton Candy Slush

This is so adorable! Cotton candy is one of my most favorite desserts ever! Plus add nerds and you are over the top in my books. And Yes, thanks to Sonic for the nerd in slushie addiction.
