Super cute sewing has been going on over here! I tested The Skipper Pattern from Sew Much Ado and it turned out so great!
I don’t have tons of pictures – sorry about that! I sewed up a size 8 for my almost 7 year old (pink pants) and a size 9 for my almost 9 year old (blue pants). The size 8 actually fits my older daughter better than the size 9 I made her, but I wanted a little room for growth. But the pattern isn’t a tight one, so I think next time I’ll sew it true to size and stick with the size that they are in. (read more…)
I have really been loving knit lately – I’m getting more and more comfortable sewing with it, and the awesome Bev (of Flamingo Toes fame) hooked me up with an awesome knit stash so I’ve got lots to play with.
I double-stitched around the collar and was super pleased with how nice it came out – looks like real sewing!
The pattern comes together really easily and it’s a quick sew – which I love. I like the banded option but there are other options as well. I plan on making several more of these tops – that’s a real sign that I love the pattern. So if you’re looking for a great top pattern, this is it! The Skipper Top

I love, love, love the little heart detail! Is it a pocket too?
