Simple Balloon Flower, Balloon Surprise Creation

Balloons are the epitome of fun – everyone loves them! Such a simple way to make things fun – – I LOVE having a Balloon Time Helium Tank on hand, so I can craft up a fun balloon surprises on a whim. Today I want to share a fun idea for an Everyday Surprise, just for fun! It lets those around you know that they’re being thought of – and so we made a simple balloon flower:

Simple Balloon Flower

You’ll need:

–balloons, flower color (5) and center color (2)

–Balloon Time Helium Tank

–ribbon or string (I thought the ribbon was a little heavy, and will use string next time!)

First, inflate your balloons with helium – it’s super easy! Just open the valve, then put the balloon on the rubber nozzle, then while on there bend the nozzle up and the balloon will start to fill. Even my 7 year old can fill his own balloons!

Inflate 2 petal balloons, ensuring they’re approximately the same size. Tie those two balloons together. Set aside (it helps to have a kiddo hold onto them so they don’t float away!). Repeat for 2 more petal balloons. After tieing those together, at the knot, wrap/twist the two bundles around each other, so it’s now 4 balloons attached at their base. Inflate one more and tie it into the knot of bases.

Now inflate 2 center balloons, slightly smaller than the petal balloons. Tie them together and then twist them into the petal bundle, so there’s one on the front and one on the back. Having the centers will help keep the petals flat and in place. Tie a string in the knot to act as the stem of the flower. (I used a ribbon, but it weighed the balloon bundle down a little and I would use a string next time and also make sure my petals were nice and full with helium.)
