I was super excited to discover Reverse Weeding!
What is Reverse Weeding Vinyl?
Reverse Weeding Vinyl is when you weed your vinyl ON your project instead of weeding it before you put it on your project.
When do you use Reverse Weeding Vinyl?
You use reverse wedding on TINY things – you know when you’re trying to weed out something super small and it’s all slipping around on the carrier sheet? If you stuck it to your project and THEN weeded it, then it won’t slip around.
How to Reverse Weeding Vinyl:
- cut your design
- put transfer tape on top your design
- peel off the backer sheet and adhere your design to your project
- remove the transfer tape and weed out the design.

Once you have your design cut, go ahead and put on the transfer tape on top it, BEFORE you weed your project.
Then peel off the backer paper and stick it directly to your project. Peel off the transfer tape.
Now you can go ahead and weed out the design.
I usually just use a straight pin for tiny details.
