I’ve been busy sewing – you might have seen some sneak peeks on Instagram…. this dress turned out way cute!
pink wasn’t my first choice. I like to use pink as an accent, I think as most of us do. But you know, the girls LOVE all pink. And so for this I picked it for them. I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. Plus, why is pink so hard to take pictures of?!
My daughter is turning 9 and I sewed her a size 8. It’s a little big, but I didn’t take all the seam allowance that I was supposed to, so that’s probably part of the reason it’s a little big.
The neckline looks great and detailed and yet it came together relatively easily. The whole dress was a pretty quick sew, which is the kind of sewing projects I love.
A couple of visuals of the same pattern:
Check out Blank Slate Patterns – the Coastal Cargos are on my to-sew-really-soon list….
And totally unrelated, but how about PicMonkey and that whole turn-a-picture-into a vampire or zoombie thing – – crazy! (this is the “understated vampire” shot)
