Hi! I’m Kristen from My Covered Bridge. I’m SO excited to be a guest blogger on Sugar Bee Crafts! Thank you, Mandy, for having me! Since I’m pretty new to this blogging world, let me introduce myself. I’m a happily married stay-at-home mom of four. My husband, Craig, and I are currently remodeling and decorating a house we bought six years ago. I love diving into these projects and now I love sharing them through my blog!
Today I want to show you how to make a pedestal bowl. It’s an easy project with a lot of impact – especially for your holiday decorating! I started with a candle holder that I purchased from a thrift store for $2.99 –
I loved the big chunky shape – but not the green sponge paint. So I took it outside with a can of chrome spray paint. After a few light coats, it looked like this –
Then, I picked up a glass bowl from Christmas Tree shops for $4.99-
I simply glued the bowl on using my E-6000 adhesive-
I wanted to fill it up with something festive – so I grabbed a few packages of silver ornaments on clearance at the dollar store ($.25 a box!)-
And there you have it – a great start to your holiday decorating – easy and inexpensive! I hope you’ll stop by My Covered Bridge to check out some of my other projects. You can see how I Silver Leafed a Wine Bottle–

And a BIG thank you to Mandy for having me here today!
