Nerf Wall Pegboard Storage

As you can see, we kind of have a thing for Nerf Blasters at our house….  and they were everywhere!  Over the winter break, we took action and in no time they were all cleaned up and organized onto this awesome Nerf Wall Pegboard Storage system.  I feel like there are lots and lots of Nerf Wall Organization ideas out there, and this is nothing new, but I still wanted to show it off because we think it is pretty awesome.  It’s such a win not to have a giant pile on the floor!

Nerf Wall Pegboard Storage

My son’s room has a dead space right behind the door – you can kind of see it here:

And so we thought that would be a great spot for the pegboard.  We debated another wall, but by putting it behind the door, blasters don’t get knocked off accidentally when you walk past, etc.

Remember, when you hang pegboard on the wall, it can’t go directly up against the wall because the pegs need to be able to go into and hook behind the board.  So you’ll need 1×2 boards to space it a little off the wall.  You can kind of see them below:

Then you can insert the peg hooks and hang all the blasters and attachments however you’d like.  Easy peasy!

This was a great project because we used pegboard that we already had on hand (hence why the two pieces are slightly different sizes).  I love that we cleaned up NERF blasters AND a pile of old pegboard that needed a spot 😉
