This is the year for pumpkin crafts – I just can’t get enough! I’ve got another great one today for you – the Fall Flower Pumpkin Arrangement. This turned out just how I imagined in my mind and I just love it. It would be perfect for a centerpiece or several in a row for a tablescape. So many ways you could use this cute pumpkin.
It’s a simple project – and quick! The perfect kind 🙂 It took about 15 minutes (probably less!) to create. And of course I have a tutorial to walk you through…
The fun thing is that there is a #TrickYourPumpkin sweepstakes going on with Michaels and you can submit any pumpkin project of yours on Instagram using that hashtag and tagging @MichaelsStores anytime between Oct 4 and 17th. (I was given product for this project, but all opinions are my own). Good luck with the contest – it’d be so cool if one of you readers won!
On with the tutorial – – you’ll need:
– craft pumpkin (the faux kind) – I used a small one, but it’s up to you on size
– fall flowers and berries (again, faux) – I used 5 different flowers, in various fall colors
-drill
First you’re going to drill holes around the top-ish part of the pumpkin for the flowers. So I spaced out 5 holes on mine:
These fake pumpkins drill really easily! Don’t be intimidated by the drill 🙂
Then cut the stems short enough and put one in each hole.
Then for the berries I drilled a few more holes slightly higher than the flower holes and inserted the berry stems into those holes. I know you could also just cut off the top of the pumpkin instead of drilling holes, but I like that you can look down from the top of the pumpkin and still see the stem and the pumpkin intact instead of an open hole:
The berries were just calling to me from the floral aisle and I couldn’t resist – I think they’re a super fun addition to the arrangement:
And that’s all there is to it! See, I told you it was easy 🙂 You can for sure make this – go give it a try! And I love that it can last through Halloween all the way til Thanksgiving – a true fall pumpkin.
