Hello, everyone! I’m Carrie. I’m married to my high school sweetheart, and we’re parents to twin boys and a princess girl
I blog over at My Favorite Finds. I started my blog about a year ago, as a way to share my ideas, keep a record of recipes and crafts, and to share with others the awesome things I find online. Through my blog, my little crafty, cooking self has come out, and I’m finding myself spending a ton more time in the kitchen or at JoAnn Fabrics :).
Today, I’m sharing my Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels recipe. I don’t know why, but there is something about a salty/sweet combination that is addicting. Pretzels are great party food, and are actually an easy backdrop for some great flavors. In this case, the cinnamon and sugar make them so yummy!
I like to make a batch of these at the holidays, and bag them up as little treats for co-workers, teachers, school office staff, or anyone else I want to “give a little something” to.
Ingredients:1 bag of pretzels, 16 oz. (I like to use the twist shapes. They are a tad thicker, and the stick shaped ones tend to burn a little bit since they’re thinner)
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Directions:
*In a large roasting pan, stir together the vegetable oil, cinnamon, and sugar.
*Next, add the pretzels. and toss them so they’re nice and coated.
*Bake at 300 degrees for about 30 minutes.
*While they’re baking, stir them twice.
*Spread them out on wax paper to cool.
*Store in an airtight container.
Do you want to give these as a gift? If so, place some in a cellophane bag. You can find these at craft stores, or if you don’t have any on hand, cut the “zipper” part off of a ziploc. Tie the bag closed with a piece of curly ribbon, and attach a gift tag. Done!
These Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels make a nice alternative or addition to a goodie plate at the holidays. I’ve had so many people compliment me on them, because they aren’t “Christmas cookies”.

Could you use egg whites (I use this to coat almonds when I make Candied Almonds to coat) instead of oil?
