The following review is part of the Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores® National Craft Month campaign. I received product for this review; however, this is my personal, honest opinion based on my experience.
I whipped up a Floral Raglan Tee for myself the other day, and I’m in love. It’s perfect – the flirty flowers paired with the cut of a baseball tee – it might be my new favorite shirt. Materials for this project were provided by Jo-Ann – I LOVE this burnout floral knit! Jo-Ann makes spring crafting easy during National Craft Month with a $5 off $25 or more purchase coupon and a Spring Crafting Inspiration Website. For this quick project, I used the Lane Raglan Pattern – it’s the second time I’ve made something with it, and I really love the fit and cut. This time I omitted the sleeve and waistband cuff. I debated on whether or not to include a pocket – I’m still not fully decided, but for now it has no pocket.
Floral is one of the big spring trends, and I wasn’t sure I could be on board with it. If you would have told me I was going to buy floral fabric I wouldn’t have agreed…until I saw this fabric. I knew it was awesome. A raglan tee is a perfect way to incorporate a little of the floral trend without it being too overwhelming.
If you’ve never attempted sewing with knit, a simple raglan tee is a great place to start. I also found the white fabric at Jo-Ann – it’s a white burnout knit. It pairs perfectly with the floral. I was excited to find such awesome knits when I was there.
