For those new to Take-A-Look Tuesday, I love to feature a project that a reader sends in – and these shoes are no exception – wow! Thanks to Nicole for sending them in – here’s her quick synapsis:
My daughter loves those sparkly dress shoes but they are horrible for school. We tried a Red pair once and it only lasted one day. We had to take them back because half the glitter fell off and it was white underneath, YUCK! Anyway, so far I’ve only been able to find pink sparkle tennis shoes, but they just didn’t match w/ school uniforms (red, white, or blue). SO I found a pair of cute cheap red canvas shoes at walmart, bought some red sparkle acrylic paint (and added fabric medium), painted the shoes with it, and they turned out so cute! I’m thinking of doing a blue pair too. 😀
NOW, on to my VERY FIRST link party – I’m so excited to see what everyone has to show off – I have no idea how many of you to expect: 2 or 200 – who knows! I’ll do a recap with some of favorites, so be sure to check back to see if you’re featured. Just like other parties:

Aw, thanks Mandy for the post! I didn’t even realize it was up lol! I’ve gotten so much buzz from these shoes that I will be adding them to Firefly Alley. They were just an experiment, apparently they turned out well. 🙂 I did make the blue ones, next I’m making a pink pair and a purple pair. The blue ones turned out so awesome! Way better than I imagined. I’ll be posting a pic soon on my facebook too.
