You know I love all things patriotic – so today I’m bringing you this Stars and Stripes Free Cut File, whoop whoop! If you have seen this galvanized metal USA cut out in the dollar section at target and thought, like me, “that would look awesome with some vinyl on it”, I’ve got ya covered 😉 AND, I’ve got a list of a ton of other FREE Patriotic Cut Files – so scroll on down for those! AND there’s a vinyl GIVEAWAY!!!
It’s super quick and simple and pretty much perfection.
Let’s Dive right in to the tutorial!
Stars and Stripes Free Cut File
You’ll need:
–something to put your decal on (I found the metal USA at the target dollar spot)
—FREE Stars and Stripes Cut File (grab it HERE)
–adhesive vinyl, transfer tape (I always buy mine from expressions vinyl)
iPad Design Into Cut File
I handlettered this design just like I did for my last free cut file. I thought you might be interested to see it all come together, so I put together a quick video showing the process of the other file. I know you’ll ask, so just a heads up, I used the iPad Pro with the iPad Pencil (which only works on the pro ipad, fyi), with the ProCreate App (which was like $6). I bought all my stuff from Amazon, including covers for the pencil like this in turq, etc.
Using Adhesive Vinyl
If you’re new to adhesive vinyl, get excited – it’s about to become your new best friend. I love it!
First up, cut your design on your Silhouette. Then you want to “weed” your design, which means to pull out all the stuff you don’t want, all the background stuff.
Then stick transfer tape over the whole thing and rub it down.
Pull the back of the vinyl, and then the vinyl will be on the transfer tape. Place it over your object and again rub the vinyl into place. Then carefully peel up the transfer tape and it will leave your vinyl behind, attached to your project!
That’s all there is to it!!
So excited to be part of a blog hop with all of these other awesome bloggers – and they all have a FREE Patriotic Cut File for you, whoop whoop!! Just follow the links below for the ones you want!
