Food photography is tough! I just want everyone to know that these are the best cookies ever, and I just get one shot in a picture. Do you like “beauty shots” with text, or plain??
Props? No props? Food photographers are always above and beyond amazing. I’m not great at “staging” pictures, but if you’ve notice the last few weeks I’ve been trying to make more of an effort. Then I can go back and add better pictures to my old posts.
My other go-to treat is Furnkies (peanut butter bars) – also amazingly awesome, and even easier than cookies because they’re a “bar” so you just make a pan and you’re done, instead of having to scoop individual cookies. I haven’t done any “beauty shots” of them yet, but I did get some of the fun of adding the peanut butter topping… and that’s almost as good:
