Hi there! I’m Liz, a lifestyle blogger over at The Quick Journey.
Today, I am here to share with you a simple and lovely craft that would be a perfect Christmas gift-
Peppermint Soap!
Let’s jump right in and see what we need for this easy project.
These items can be found at any hobby store.
Ingredients:
* Glycerin
* Red Soap Dye
* Peppermint Essential Oil
*Soap Mold
*Microwaveable Container (one with a spout)
*Twine, Paper, or Ribbon for wrapping
Gather your ingredients and let’s get started! First, you will want to break your glycerin into small blocks. Put them in a microwaveable container and cook in 30 second intervals. Stir after each 30 seconds until the glycerin is completely melted.
Once the glycerin is melted, put 5-10 drops of peppermint oil in the melted glycerin and stir.
Mmmm… smells devine!
You will then pour the mixture into the soap molds.
Drop 2-4 drops of red soap dye into the molds and stir with a toothpick.
Once you remove your bars of soap, tie some pretty twine or ribbon around it and set it under the tree. Or, just go ahead and use it for yourself!
Thank you so much, Mandy, for having me today! If you loved this festive craft, be sure to hop over to The Quick Journey and check out these two projects!!!
