Did you know that Michael’s has a fun program called Kids Craft Club? It’s perfect, because you can drop in and the kiddos can craft while you shop – see, perfection!! Kids Craft Club at Michael’s!
I think it’s such a great program, because it’s a win-win – the kids have fun crafting, I get time alone shopping, we all come out happy 😉
Even though I love all things crafty, sometimes I tend to neglect that my kids want to craft. I don’t usually plan a lot of kids crafts for them, so I love having the opportunity for them to try something new and express their creativity. My girls attended the Tie Dye Canvas class and had a lot of fun. When we stopped by, they were the only ones in the class at the time, so they got great one-on-one instruction from the teacher.
Basically they used water and pieces of tissue paper to create a tie-dye, watercolor look on their paper.
With all that water, it was a little messy, which is all the more appealing to kids! After sitting on the paper, they pulled off the tissue paper to reveal their creations. I love that it was a fun project and putting that they could enjoy together.
It made it a much better errand to run than the building supplies we had to get next 😉
Micahael’s offers tons of adult craft classes as well (I have taken a cake decorating class in the past), even bunches of free class options! Check out what some of the other Michael’s Makers enjoyed at their stores:

First of all, your daughter’s Deathly Hallows shirt is on point. Second, what a fun idea! Do you know if there are classes for younger kids? I would love to take my son to one!

I think they’re for any age?? – if you feel like he’s a little young for the activity, you can stay in the classroom with him and help with the project, etc
