Gilmour Hose Power Jet Wand – Porch Clean Up

Just like Spring Cleaning, Fall Cleaning is a thing!  It’s great to clean up outside and get ready for winter to settle in.  I recently used  the Gilmour Hose Power Jet Wand for porch clean up and it’s SO good!  We live on a gravel driveway, and overall it’s just dusty and dirty out at our house.  I wanted to get all the dust and dirt and cobwebs off of our porches before winter so that the dirt didn’t sit there all winter long.

We don’t have a pressure washer, so I was eager to try out the Power Jet Wand – I was definitely impressed!  It did a GREAT job and by using it we didn’t need an expensive power washer.   It just hooks to your regular garden hose and turns that water stream into a power jet.

In action!!  You can see how it’s taking the dirt right off our our cement porches – very impressive.

I aimed at starting at the back of the porch and working my way to the front, back and forth across the concrete.

The Power Jet definitely has power!  Here’s an attempt to show you how far it can shoot a stream of water, clear into our field!  But it got lost in the photo, so you’ll just have to believe me 😉

I also used it to take the built-up dust and dirt from the whole summer off of our cedar siding.  Again, I started at the top and worked my way down, back and forth across the planks.

We still have lots of house projects planned for outside (think landscaping, large porch lights, even a circle driveway), but for now at least I can clean off of the outside as it is and have it looking nice.  In other building-related news, this summer my dad helped my son build a treehouse, and it turned out pretty awesome – almost finished!!  Made from various leftover building supplies and salvaged scrap pieces from remodels, etc.  So fun, right?!
