I love being a part of the BEHR DIY Experts team and the monthly paint projects I get to show off to you guys. This month, we all got together for a Blog Hop around the Exterior Holiday Theme. I made a JOY Holiday Porch Sign and I am really loving it!
It came out just as I pictured in my head 😉 I used Behr paint Flirt Alert for the red and Twinkling Lights for the creamy white.
I used a leftover board (it’s plywood – which gives a fun texture) from house-building. First up, we painted it red. Yes, when visitors are in town, I put them to work crafting 😉
I let that dry overnight. To make it look a little more worn and distressed, I then used a rag and wiped on the white in random spots all over the board.
Then I painted the white “J” and “Y” using a stencil cut out of chipboard. For the “O” I found a fun feather wreath that worked perfectly in the space.
After it dried, I briefly sanded the whole board, to add a little more distressing. That’s it!! It’s a simple project that really adds a statement piece to your porch.
