Craiglist – if you search long enough, you will find it! I wanted a tall jewelry cabinet. I have the bright nightstands, and thought a jewelry armoire in the same color would add that pop of color on the other side of the room.
So I started searching – my limit was $40. There were tons for $100, but I knew I didn’t want a nice one because I was just painting it. So I held out. I got one for $40 – score – the problem (sort of!) was that when I got it, it was too nice!! It was new in the box. Put together, it matched exactly my newly stained dresser. I felt bad painting it because it seemed too nice.
Side note – I can’t believe how amazing my dresser turnout out – I need to do a whole post on it. But do you remember the before – what a difference!
Anyways, back on track. I kept it as is for a while, but never loved it. Then I thought, hey, I bought it for the whole purpose of painting, who cares if it’s nice, it was only $40. So I did it. And LOVE it. No regrets!
My only issue is that there is next-to-no necklace storage – see what I did with all my necklaces later today…
Did you know there’s a Craigslist app? I had it for the keywords “jewelry armoire” and whenever something new posted it would ding me – awesome!! Get those deals before they’re swiped by someone else!

I want a tutorial on your dresser. We recently stained a chest of drawers and used the Minwax 2 in 1 poly and stain and it stinks so bad like stain that we can’t even have it in our bedroom! I want to know what you used for next time. I hate that I put so much work into it and it can’t be used.

I love it! And I love the color too! Did you spray paint it? I’m looking forward to a post on it to hear more!
