THIS IS A SPONSORED POST IN COLLABORATION WITH WAVERLY INSPIRATIONS AS PART OF THEIR BLOGGER TEAM
If you’re like me, you’ve probably got the crafting bug right now – there’s just something about the new year that always has me wanting to make stuff! If you’re looking for a cute sign to welcome people into your home, today’s post is for you! This also makes a great housewarming gift! I’m pretty excited about how the Hello Decor Sign turned out – so cute:
It came together super quickly and I am loving the chalk paint line from Waverly Inspirations found at Walmart – it went on nice and thick and perfect. And it coordinates perfectly with their fabric line, which is pure craft genius.
It makes for a pretty cute sign!
Let’s dive right in to the details!
Hello Decor Sign
You’ll need:
-scrap board
-paint (I used Waverly chalk paint)
-fabric (I used Waverly Inspirations)
-wood-lasered “hello” decal
-twine
First up comes the painting! You’ll want to paint your board:
and the “hello”
While they are drying, you can make the rolled flowers (like I talked about with last month’s headband project). Once that’s all ready, you can move on to assembly!
I simply used hot glue to attach the “hello” onto the middle of the board and then again used hot glue to attach the flowers in a cluster near the bottom of the board.
Just keep arranging and rearranging the flowers until you have them how you want them, then glue them down. I also added some twine accents into the mix.
To make the hanger, I cut a couple of pieces of twine and tied them together at each end, leaving a tail. I hot-glued the tail the back of the board and then used hot glue to secure a scrap of fabric onto the tail for extra hold.
That’s all there is to it – hang and enjoy your Hello Decor Sign!
