Today I’m showing how to make green and healthy dryer balls.

Most commercial dryer sheets are impregnated with all sorts of toxic chemicals including Benzyl Acetate, Benzyl Alcohol, Chloroform and Linalool; none of which are good for the environment – or you. Some of these compounds are known carcinogens.


Aside from the chemicals in the sheets winding up in your clothing and therefore next to your skin, when heated, the fumes are also toxic.


If you’re looking for a greener alternative to dryer sheets; here’s a great.
You not only will be saving money, but you will help your self and the environment.

Material:
 Yarn, 100% wool. If it’s no colored its better.
Yarn Needle.
It’s have to be 100% wool, because it’s a natural fiber, picks up the lint from the clothes and manage well the static cling that generates on the dryer.

1.- Start making some loops between your fingers like this:

2.- Continue until you have the shape of a ball, for a 3.5 oz of yarn, I get 2 balls of like 3.5 in. diameter.

3.- When you have the desired size stop, and leave like 24 in. of yarn, insert into the needle and start sewing in and out to reinforce the ball, so the yarn don’t get saggy and loose, then start loosing the ball shape.

4.- Next time you use the dryer, put them in and enjoy the benefits of being green, saving some money and taking care of you health.
