Crocheted Heart Garland. Every room needs a garland, am I right?!? My daughter’s room is coming together, and I knew a garland was a must. Bright and colorful is working great for her , so these hearts will fit right in.
Hearts are a simple crochet project that I used to help myself learn how to read a crochet pattern. I got the pattern down and was able to make the hearts without any trouble – I love how quickly they come together. Find the crochet heart pattern here. And I made more crochet hearts here.
But then I’m left with a bunch of crocheted hearts… I thought a garland would be great, but I wasn’t sure how to hang the hearts. I wanted to show you the method I figured out.
I loved the idea of using twine, but I didn’t want to pull out the stitches of the top of the heart. So I made loops through the middle of the heart. It took a little thought, but I was able to do it without showing the knot. So first thread through the center:
And then tie your knot:
But then slide the knot part to the very back:
And then the loop was too sticky-outy — – so I tied a knot around itself at the base. I love how that came out.
Repeat that for each heart. Then thread those loops onto your long piece of twine and evenly space them for a garland. Twine is kind of rough, so they don’t really slide around. So fun!!
It paired perfectly with the Heart String Art I had created – if you’re looking for details on that, be sure to hop on over, cause it’s way fun.
