Today I’m sharing the recipe for Chocolate Bark. My family loves whenever I make this dessert! It’s quick and so easy, and is perfect to take to get-togethers or eat at home. The saltiness of the crackers mixed with the chocolate is a perfect combination every time! You will need:
- Saltine Crackers (about 42)
- 1 cup White Sugar
- 1 cup Butter
- 12 oz. Chocolate Chips (2 cups)
- Walnuts (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Sugar

Line cookie sheet with foil and spread out saltine crackers. My medium-sized cookie sheet could fit 42 crackers, so I laid out a 7×6 grid. In a saucepan or microwave, melt the butter. Mix the sugar in well.
Pour over saltines and spread out with a knife. You may want to use your hands – I find it’s easier for me. All the crackers don’t have to be covered, as the mixture will spread a little, but most should have some butter and sugar on them.
Bake at 350° until bubbly (3-5 min.). Remove and sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the crackers. Put back in oven so the chips melt, about 3-5 minutes, then spread out the melted chocolate evenly.
In a separate bowl, mix the salt and sugar together with 1/2 teaspoon of water. Sprinkle the bark with the walnuts and the salt and sugar mixture.
Refrigerate for about an hour. Break into pieces.
