Is your backyard a summer escape?? Ours is – mostly for kids, but still, an escape. We still need lots of umbrellas and patio furniture, but we’re having fun with what we have – – I love our hammock!
Let me give you a brief tour — first, our garden spot – hoping some yummy veggies will start coming on soon….
Secondly, all the kid play equipment – doesn’t it look fun – – it’s a hit when friends are over:
And yeah, maybe you see a hint of what else we have in our backyard, that makes it a super fun escape….
Yep, a giant castle. It’s awesome (maybe too awesome?!?)
You can climb up through the turret, but it’s kind of tricky, so there’s an easier way to climb up in the back. And a slide. And a skylight. Cause there wasn’t enough going on.
Now that I have shared what turns my backyard into my perfect summer oasis, I want to know what you’ve done to transform your backyard into your oasis.

I love the barbeque and the fire pit we have in our backyard. It has become a gathering place for the whole family where we watch my husband cook dinner or we roast marshmellows over the open fire. I do wish I had some nicer chairs for sitting – maybe with a Sears gift card I can buy some new ones!

We turn on the sprinkler under the trampoline. Not as nice as a pool, but much more affordable!

My family had the most amazing hammock and porch glider. There was nothing better than just lounging in them and listen to the sounds of summer.

With 4 little boys our perfect backyard oasis is… The watering hole (AKA- A small blow up swimming pool), it is amazing the things they can do and pretend in that little thing! I just blogged about it :).
