Are you obsessed with fun hairstyles like I am? I love looking and find new ideas. You might know of the blog Babes In Hairland – well, my blog friend Becky just published a hair book – so cool, right?! And she sent us a book – my girls have been loving flipping through it!
Now, I’m not saying I do hair everyday (that takes commitment!) but I do normally try to do my girls hair at least on Sundays for church. I feel like Sunday is the day to try to look your best, so a nice hair do is a great start for that. (Want to know more about what I believe? here’s that post: What I Believe). The trick is that Sunday mornings are usually pretty hectic, so I love fast and easy hair that still looks awesome – and Becky has lots of ideas for those type of dos in her book. The one that I want to try the most is this one – doesn’t it look awesome?! Unique but still not too intimidating – –
There are step-by-step photo instructions for each hairstyle in the book. I’ve tried (and failed) to do waterfall styles before, and finally figured it out thanks to the instructions in her book. A couple of super quick looks we whipped up before school on Friday (sorry for the bad, before-school pics)
I love that there are also tips and tricks on basics – it covers it all. Straight from the book listing: Tired of bad hair days? Popular hairstyle blogger Becky Porter teaches you the basics of braids, buns, and twists, and helps you combine them to create amazing hairstyles for any occasion. Go from drab to fab at any age with the easy, step-by-step tutorials in this essential guide. So go out and grab yourself a copy! You can find Amazing Styles: From Easy to Elegant on Amazon.
